The skies were clear, the heatwave was unmatched, and many memories were made at the 5^th Anniversary of the SMPS Boards, Bags, and Brews event. This year we had over 120 attendees and 64 competitors (32 teams) participating in fierce games of bag toss and raising monies for a local program, Constructing Hope. 

All proceeds were raised in contribution to Constructing Hope's mission to help rebuild the lives of people in our community by encouraging self-sufficiency through skills training and education in the construction industry. Focusing on community members with legal histories and low income, Constructing Hope works to provide real-world construction experience and opportunities.

With the help of our generous sponsors, SMPS Oregon raised a total of $5,000 throughout the tournament.

This year's Boards, Bags, & Brews event was hosted 503 Distilling in SE Portland, who served their tasty craft cocktails and were amazing hosts. Food was provided by The Tamale Boy and we were treated to dessert by Churros Loco. Photos were taken by Neely Webster with Hapa Photos.
