Congratulations to Zoey Zemanek for being chosen as the second recipient of SMPS Oregon’s Lynn Parsons Educational Scholarship!

Zoey started her career in A/E/C marketing in 2015 as an administrative assistant for Cochran, Inc. Since 2017, Zoey has been a marketing coordinator with Cochran, Inc., reporting to their Director of Marketing in the Seattle, WA corporate office. Zoey holds a Bachelor of Arts, Interdisciplinary Studies from Central Washington University, and a Masters of Business Administration from Western Governers University. Zoey is currently the Chair of the Special Events Committee for the 2018-2019 SMPS year.

When asked how SMPS has benefited her career, Zoey had this to say: “SMPS has been such a valuable tool in my career thus far, and I intend on continuing to find ways to volunteer and be involved. I have been able to put the networking opportunities to good use, and it’s been exciting to be involved in an organization that focusing on the growth of the state I have made a home in. The Oregon chapter encompasses a large community with a wealth of information, talent, and opportunity for members to grow in their careers and contribute to society – I hope to be able to continue to contribute to that.”

With her scholarship, Zoey will attend Portland State University’s Center for Executive and Professional Education.

The purpose of this scholarship fund is to fulfill our organization’s vision to transform business through marketing leadership. The SMPS Oregon Board of Directors created the Lynn Parsons Educational Scholarship to provide current chapter members with the opportunity to pursue ongoing professional development. The scholarship is named in remembrance of the late Lynn Parsons, who was a beloved ambassador of our marketing community.
