What do you do at your current firm?
I am the Business Development and Marketing Coordinator at Moore Excavation, Inc.  I am the first person to hold this position at my company, therefore a lot of my work has consisted with creating programs and protocols, refreshing the brand, and establishing growth avenues. My larger projects include proposal writing, website creation, ad design, and sponsorship/association management.

What inspired you to join SMPS?
Business Development and Marketing cover a large scope in every company. I have a background in marketing, events, and graphic design, but the business development aspect of my job can feel daunting at times. I wanted to connect with others in my field who can guide me and relate.

What’s one thing about you (a fun fact) that not many people know?
I love the arts. I go to as many plays, ballets, operas, and symphonies as I can. I know these aren’t for everyone, so I go stag to these shows. If any of you have a deep love for the arts, let me know!

If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Definitely tacos. Tacos are so multifaceted! They can have every flavor profile with sweetness, salty, and spice. Once you bring in the side of rice, beans, corn, and avocado… I don’t know how you can resist. Bon Appetit! 

What do you consider to be your greatest accomplishment to date?
I think my greatest accomplishment would be the independence and spontaneity I’ve grown into. I always thought I needed to be with others to do something or go somewhere. I realized I will miss out on life experiences if I keep waiting for people to join. With this, I find myself pursing my interests constantly and even going on vacations solo. I just decided to go to Europe next month on my own for a couple weeks and I’m stoked! Approaching my life with this method has made me feel strong, capable, and brave; it’s incomparable.
