SMPS Oregon has talented committee volunteers and we want to recognize those that step up to get things done! The monthly MVP is nominated by the Board of Directors for outstanding contributions to our chapter and going above and beyond their general committee responsibilities.

This month, we’d like to give the MVP Award and a round of applause to JEDI Committee member Aven-itza De Primavera, Marketing Coordinator  at R&H Construction.

"I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside Aven-itza on the SMPS JEDI Committee since it started in 2020. She has always brought a thoughtful, creative approach to brainstorming educational topics and planning our events. This year, Aven-itza took on the responsibility of handling our committee's graphic design. Not only did she maintain the integrity of our committee's branding, but she also incorporated accessibility best practices, ensuring inclusivity in our visual materials. Aven-itza was instrumental in our most recent event, the Inclusive Partnership Mixer. She balanced the ever-changing list of XBE firms, sponsors and vendors and was able to coordinate all our signage and print needs in time for a successful event. It was not an easy feat! I’m so grateful to have Aven-itza on our committee!"
